Embedded Software / Hardware Electronic Design Engineer

This position is responsible for working both independently and part of a team in the development, design, and planning of the manufacture of electronic tilt sensors for high volume industrial and military applications.

Responsibilities:

• Project planning and scheduling
• Develop schematics and prototypes utilizing mixed signal technology. 
• Embedded code design and development for new products
• General maintenance of existing designs
• Developing test procedures for prototypes and production
• Provide training and direction to technicians
• Assist with development, design and maintenance of Automated Test Equipment
• Assist with troubleshooting
• Write test software
• Analyze test data and write test reports
• Perform device failure analysis and write failure reports
• Write product and process documentation
• Provide light technical support to sales department and customers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering and/or related field
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in embedded “C” software development
• Must have experience designing with 8 and 16 bit microprocessors
• Experience designing and debugging communication protocols such as USB, serial, SPI, RS-232, RS-485, and CAN
• Experience in design and implementation of automatic test stations using the NI-Labview Environment preferred
• Solid verbal and written skills
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft office applications
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work
• Experience in proven inter departmental and team work interactions helpful
