Solder Assembly Technician
Seeking a hands-on experienced component assembly solder technician. This position requires someone with high energy, attention to detail and effective communication skills, with a willingness to jump in where needed.
Pay $18.00 – $24.00 per hour*

Days and Hours
Hours during our work/life balance testing are Monday through Thursday, 6 am until 3:20 pm and occasional Friday’s, 6 am until 10 am, as needed. This is working 36 hours with 40 hours pay*.
*Training must be completed. You will work a 40-hour week until fully trained.

High Overview of Position Responsibilities:
- Good attendance including punctuality
- Review and understand company’s requirements and specifications
- Work per Rieker’s quality management system
- Process, fabricate units per work orders/schematic in a timely manner according to production schedule needs/and individual productivity goals
- Inspect your own work during the process to identify any problems or reworks
- Maintain component records and/or logs
- Notify supervisor of any documentation needs such as drawing revisions
- Keep your department and work area clean and organized as well as tools/fixtures in good condition
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organization
- Self-motivated with attention to detail
- Multitasking skills
- Ability to assemble to blueprint or work instruction
- Basic Diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience working standing/sitting for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Mechanical/Electrical assembly experience a plus
- Soldering SMT, ISO, or Mil-STD, IPC, and Quality Control a plus!
While we love experienced solder techs we have also had great unexperienced solders thrive in our environment as our in-house IPC trainer can train you! People that are used to dealing with small items or with good hand eye coordination tend to do well in this environment. Nail technicians, needle point crafters, etc.

- Performs a variety of functions following prescribed procedures in product assembly and testing.
- Assemble components as required on time and according to quality specifications.
- Ability to identify improvement areas.
- Maintain component records and/or logs.
- Notify supervisor of any documentation needs such as drawing revisions.
- Inspect your own work during the process to identify any problems or reworks.
- Maintain the cleanliness of workstation and assist with entire department housekeeping.
- Willingness to learn and operate in multiple stations within the department.
